Whether you agree or disagree with this man, he was a strong leader who accomplished unbelievable things.
We read a quote from Time Magazine that said he "married commumism to nationalism and perfected the deadly art of guerilla
warfare." True enough. He said he was more motivated by patiotism than communism. Over four decades he led
the fight to push the French, Japanese and eventually the Americans out - at the cost of communism and 3 million Vietnamese
dead, but in the end his goal was accomplished - national independence and unity. We took one morning to tour his mausoleum,
museum and grounds where he lived.
