Halong Bay is situated off the northeastern coast of Vietnam and consists of thousands of limestone peaks jutting out of the calm, green water of the South China Sea.  We couldn't believe how flat the water was!  The peaks go on for miles and miles and create a barrier that in turn creates a bathtub of clear ocean water to explore.  It was one of the best sites we've seen in our travels so far.

We were able to hike up and catch this great view from one of the many cliffs.

One of many tiny fishing villages in the bay. Yes, they live right on the water.

We shared this view with only 10 other people for our days on the bay.
